Federal Bar

Federal Bar
will be opening this Thursday according to a blog. I can't wait and try this place at lunch. There are such few lunch places near my work. New American sounds yum!

I can't live without my

...benefit brow zing. Last month, I got my eyebrows done at the Benefit counter. I loved the results and brow powder they used. They made my brows look groomed and well arched. Luckily, my friend got me this for Christmas. I use it everyday and love how arched my brows look. Thank you benefit for a great product!

Tomgirl Baking Company

I tried Tomgirl Baking Company cupcakes this afternoon. This Huntington Beach bakery had a few cupcake flavors available. I ordered one of each: banana with chocolate buttercream, devil's cake with chocolate buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese frosting.

I tried the banana and devil's cake one. Man, it was the moistest cupcake I've ever had. I think I may have found my new favorite bakery.

Tortas Sinaloa

Wish I took pictures of my lunch yesterday, but you'll have to trust me.

This Mexican fast food spot on McFadden and harbor in Santa Ana has the best tacos ever. $1.50 too! The al pastor and carne asada were small but packed with flavor. Drizzled on top was guacamole with a sprinkle of chopped onions.

Their drink selection was top notch. You could choose from horchatta, pineapple, mamey (like a papaya) and lemonade.

Tortas sinaloa definitely hits the spot.

Hello Kitty

Image
Did I miss the memo? Is hello kitty in? I saw a girl on the subway holding a hello kitty purse and last Thursday my friend spotted this. A girl was pulling a suitcase that was clearly hello kitty. Hmm...

Live in the moment

Lustbklyn is a site I read about on Stroller city. It reminds busy parents, yuppies, urban dwellers, and everyone to live in the moment. Look up. Put it down. Start writing. Those are some messages they promote.

When I looked up I saw... my baby's Dracula hair and sleeping face.

How I managed to put it down...I realized my baby wants my attention when she grabs my iPhone out if my hand.

Choke tube tester

My baby is at that stage where she puts everything in her mouth. I saw this Choke tube tester online and thought it's such a great concept. Only $2.95 too.

I finally checked out Justin timberlake's line @ Target last night. Heard his jeans make the booty look nice. I tried on a skinny Jean and loved it. I didn't mind the $49.99 tag since it fit like a glove, minus the length. Me and my short legs, hehe.

Mascara

I have long lashes and need to curl them or else they get in my eyes. Such a happy problem, right?

First, I use my favorite Shu Uemera eyelash curler. (Can you believe they don't sell this brand in the US anymore?) Then, I apply mascara. Here are ones I have tried, in no particular order:

Too Faced Lash Injection - it had a mandarin scent to it. It didn't colonize or keep the curl of my lashes. Bummer!

Fresh Firebird- it promised feathery lashes and delivered. I like this mascara when I want something light on my lashes.

Christian Dior Show - I love this mascara. It has the staying power, makes my lashes dark, and keeps the curl All day. My only gripe is it smears underneath my eyes by the end of the day. It makes me look tired or like a raccoon. Eeks!

Lancome Hypnose Drama - my
Girlfriend bought this for me for Christmas and loves it. It's been my go-to mascara lately. It definitely keeps the curl, is dark, and lasts all day. No smears too. Ooh la la!

My two other girlfriends u…
