I have been meaning to visit this dessert spot for a while and went last Monday to the Costa Mesa location.
Service and selection was great. I chose the red velvet and lemon. I'm not gonna lie. The cake was good, but a lil' too much in serving size. I think I prefer my cupcake size more. For a dessert to share, I'd recommend this spot.
Last Tuesday, Missoni at Target was in the news for all the shortages, crashed websites and long lines. I thought I would be lucky and find the flats I wanted. Nope! I did score this sweet headband though. You like?
My East Coast girlfriend told me about Free Museum Day with Smithsonian Museum and Affiliates. I checked out California and there's a lot of participating LA and OC ones. Maybe I'll take the fam bam out on Saturday.
I wish I could tell you I tried these cupcakes, but I can't. These pretty things were being sold for $3 each at my church festival last weekend. Wish I got the name of who made 'em so I could taste test. 'Til we meet again sweets!
I absolutely love bun rieu. It's a Vietnamese noodle soup with tomato, crab and shrimp. Pure genius! I got this bowl at my Church Festival for $5 but if you go around Little Saigon In Westminster, you can find this yummy soup too.
I am a sucker for tempura ice cream. Check out this lovely at Oki Doki. Yes, it was as scrumptious as it is pretty. Oki Doki is on Bristol and Paularino in Costa Mesa if you feel like Asian fusion goodness.
I stumbled on Maybelline New York channel on YouTube after watching a Baby Einstein video with my little one. I especially loved the BCBG MAX AZRIA: Beauty Looks of the Runway NYC Spring/Summer 2012 look. Check out their awesome beauty videos. You'll get to see what's trending in beauty.
Back in the day, my brother used to host home screenings in the backyard. Boy, were those fun. My new favorite newsletter, PureWow, wrote about how to stage an outdoor screening. Oooh, I definitely got to bring this back before the fall.
So, I had a hair mishap in July and got my hair curled for my dad's birthday party. The gal did such a poor job and burned my hair. My hair did not smell nice for a few days. Ick! Thank goodness my hairstylist chopped my hair off. Since then, it feels like it's growing thicker and dry.
Luckily, my girlfriend got me Marrakesh Oil. I use it on damp hair and it calms the madness. I love this stuff. It smells so good. Yum! I highly recommend this argan oil.
I love the rack at Metropointe In Costa Mesa. They always have awesome beauty deals. Case in point, my recent purchases include: -Bliss lemon sage shampoo and conditioner -Stila tinted moisturizer -Stila talking eye palette
I was able to get this for way less than Sephora and department stores. Do check out their beauty stuff section!
