OOTD - Palm trees

Hope you had a happy Easter!

I'm wearing a Webster Miami dress and flats. Bracelets are gifts from a friend.

What's in my purse

I haven't done a what's in my purse post in awhile. Here are some of my essentials I tug around in my Urban Expressions purse I bought at a No Rest for Bridget outlet sale.

Tortoise sunglasses - I found these on Ebay and they are the best $8 I ever spent. I've received so many compliments.

Kid essentials - Bandaid because you never know if you might need one. Crayons because you can draw anywhere when you and the kid are bored. Bebe au lait nursing cover for the little bebe.

Christian Dior wallet - Hubby bought this for my birthday years ago and it has to be my favorite gift ever. I think it's because it has my D initial.

iPhone 5 - If I could surgically attach this to my hand, I would. I'm constantly on it using Baby Geek, Twitter, Instagram, emailing, and texting.

Business cards - I learned from my dad to never leave home without one. You never know when the next networking opportunity is.

Cosmetics case from my trip from Vietnam - This houses my little survival ki…

OC Fashion Week: After the show

OC Fashion Week was full of so many great fashion events. I was so happy to attend and meet so many people passionate about fashion, from fashion designers, bloggers, organizers, photographers, and jewelry designers at Sugar Rush, Runway Expose, Haute Couture and Kidswear shows.

After the show, people mingle, more photos are taken, models pose with new designs, and designers show close up of their work.

Here's a little glimpse of what I saw after the show. Enjoy!

OOTD - Purple passion

Yesterday was good Friday and hubby reminded me to wear purple. It was a comfy outfit to run errands and have lunch with my brother and gals.

I'm wearing a Timing maxi dress (similar) and Maki Maki cardigan (similar). Sandals are Sam Edelman Trina (link). Bracelets are from SPARKL and unknown designer.

OC Fashion Week: Kidswear Froufrou & Company

The last day of OC Fashion Week was held outdoors at Laguna Nursery. The runway was a unique green astroturf shaped into a square runway for the children to walk on.

One of the Kidwear designers was debuting their swimwear collection for the first time. Selena and Analia are two sisters who started Froufrou & Company. Their swimsuits and hair accessories had a playful, girlie, and whimsical feel to them with the candy colors of pink, yellow, pink, and blue.

When I asked what the designers what their favorite swimsuit is, they said "Coco  (a one piece with ruffles) because the girlie ruffles make you want to dance and turn around. Lola (two piece, ruffle front, and ruffle back with bow) because the ruffles and bows and colors are so fun and remind us of cupcakes. "

OOTD - Bloggers do B&W better

Happy Friday! I'm participating in the Bloggers do black and white better challenge today. It was a little chilly the other day so thought this comfy outfit would do the trick for this challenge.

I'm wearing H&M black and white tunic (similar), Blue Monday faux leather leggings (link), and Webster Miami for Target flats (similar).

OC Fashion Week: Haute Couture Lily Blue Part 2

The Lily Blue presentation at OC Fashion Week Haute Couture was so epic with fifteen models. The first part of the show had angelic coats. Check out yesterday's post to see a recap of those coats. Lily Blue's background in dance illustrates that she understands movement and the feminine spirit.

I was already impressed with the angelic coats that reminded me of a haute couture version of Harry Potter cloaks, but was in for a treat when the models came out on the runway in the dress collection.

The designs were sensual, feminine,  free spirited, and delicate all in one. The dresses had such movement and personality to it. One dress even had two layers on the bottom that the model twirled to reveal the second layer. The accessories adorned on the hair and arms were exquisite. They complimented the designs perfectly and formed a perfect marriage to the breathtaking dresses.

My favorite had to be the Halle Berry lookalike model in the orange slinky crepe-like dress where she wor…
