OOTD - Summer black and white

With the weather so hot lately, I have been living in skirts. I brought out my trusty Zara skort when I didn't know what to wear. I thought I would pair it with this black top for a summer black and white.

I'm wearing banana republic shirt, Zara skort and Tahari flats. Bracelets are gifted from a friend and Showroom NYC.
Ps. Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!

We have launched our Serene Sky Boutique work lookbook! Please check it out -

MAGIC: Recap & photo diary

Hope you enjoyed my blog posts on MAGIC this week. I'll conclude with a recap and photo diary of my time in Las Vegas last week.

Day 1:
It was 108 outside and I had to walk across the street to Excalibur to catch the tram to Mandalay. I had read about the POOL trade show was geared for boutiques and thought it would apply for Serene Sky. I wore a comfy romper and flats for all the walking I knew I would be doing. It was so fun going to Mandalay. You could tell who was part of MAGIC because they were fashionably dressed. I struck up a conversation with a British guy living in Texas who is starting his own styling boutique while I was walking to Mandalay. He was there to check menswear. The POOL trade show was awesome. There were a lot of jewelry designers to see and meet for my boutique. I even had time to go to the American Apparel booth for a little mani. I got some cool burnt orange nails there. Mandalay had many trade shows going on from POOL, ENKVegas, Project, and Tents. I st…

OOTD - Red star

Happy Friday! When is this heat wave going to end? I knew I'd be working all afternoon, so thought I would dress comfy and wear my new Hard Tail shirt I got from MAGIC.

I'm wearing a Hard Tail shirt (c/o), The Limited skirt, and Sam & Libby for Target sandals. Purse is from Mango. Bracelets are from Madewell and Showroom NYC.

MAGIC: Bloggers

During my three days at MAGIC MARKET WEEK, it was great to run into my blogger friend Kimberly from According to Kimberly and Margie from Margie Plus at the blogger lounge MAGIC set up. I wish I had more time to hear the bloggers talk about trends and see their favorites from the show floor. You can meet the official WWDMAGIC bloggers here with links to their cool blogs.

It was a bummer I didn't get to meet up with Jennifer from  Just Add Glam and Joann from Love Fashion Live Life. We were texting and tweeting like crazy, but never got a chance to hang out. Hope you had a great time at the trade show.

Cheers to blogger babes everywhere!

OOTD - Work skirt

Yesterday was filled with work prepping for our Serene Sky launch. I thought I'd dress up with a mini skirt.

I'm wearing a Love on a Hanger shirt, H&M skirt and Sam & Libby for Target sandals. Bracelets are from Serene Sky and Madewell.
PS. My fashion designer friend Noelle Nicole will be presenting her designs at the LA Fashion Council Open Runway show on Saturday August 31pm. The location is Couture LA on 1640 N. Cahuenga Blvd in Los Angeles. To RSVP go to

MAGIC: Fall trends

At WWDMAGIC last week, there was rows and rows of fashion galore. Here is my little recap on what I thought stood out.

Lush had lots of faux leather, rich deep colors, and textures in their coming line. My business partner and I loved taking a look at all the racks of clothing.

I loved the mixing of patterns and textures. The hat gave an interesting and refreshing touch an otherwise normal outfit of a jean jacket and floral dress. The thick vest on top balanced the graphic leggings to showcase a confident look.

Cutout dresses are here to stay. I love that this lavender color that gives it a sweet and innocent vibe.

Mixing prints seemed to be a theme. The colorblock top underneath a striped dress is unexpected yet still works. The lacy top underneath a demure red and white checker dress gives the dress a more modern feel.

Seeing lace in pink showed that lace doesn't always have to be black or white. This pink lace dress is perfect for day or night. For day, I would style it wi…

OOTD - Shorts in disguise

Happy Wednesday! This week has been going  fast. Make it go slower please.
My mom bought me these shorts at Heavenly Couture the other week. I finally wore them and love that they are shorts but look like a skirt.

I'm wearing a Victoria Secret tank, LoveTree shorts, and Sam & Libby for Target sandals. Bracelets are from Madewell and gift from a friend.

MAGIC: Shoes

The Imelda Marcos in me couldn't help but see some cool shoes at MAGIC last week. These DV by Dolce Vita boots and sandals caught my eye and I can't wait until these are in store. I love neutrals and how they can blend in with your wardrobe for any season.

I also spotted these colorful wedges on a Japanese fashionista. She rocked these with ease and didn't even care about the 108 degree heat or huge convention show floor to walk. You go girl!

OOTD - Grey flowers

I thought I would mix it up and pair my new grey tee with my favorite skirt.

I'm wearing a Topshop tee, H&M skirt, and Sam & Libby for Target sandals. Copper leaf necklace is a gift from hubby. Bracelets are a mix of Madewell, serene Sky, And San Diego zoo.

MAGIC: American Express OPEN Fashion's Rising Stars

Last week at MAGIC MARKET WEEK, my business partner and I attended  WWDMAGIC (one of the many trade shows going on at the convention center and Mandalay Bay).

We were drawn to the huge American Express OPEN booth where they featured fashion's rising stars design, craft, and compete live. Three designers had three days to go from sketch to finished handbag. We were able to speak to Kristine Gottilla of Spencer Divine and Aimee Kestenberg.

Aimee Kestenberg is from Australia and attended Parsons where she completed internships for various luxury brands. Her handbags had an elegant and functional feel to them. At MAGIC, she was giving away these cute coin leather purses (pictured on the left). I can't wait to see her line available at Nordstroms soon.

Kristine Gotilla from Spencer Divine is from Brooklyn, New York. Her handbags had a supple and sleek feel to them. We were definitely eyeing her large A-Line totes available in different colors and loved that it can either be a tote …

OOTD - Anniversary skirt

Yesterday, hubby and I celebrated our anniversary. I got this cool copper necklace from him and had to wear it right away.

I'm wearing a James Perse tank, Rehab skirt from Luna b, and Sam Edelman Sophie wedges. Bracelets are a mix of Serene Sky, m&m store and showroom NYC.
Ps. Happy Monday everyone! So excited I have over 200 twitter followers. Thanks for following and if you are on twitter, add me @sunnynblue.
