OOTD - Keats and Kay kimono

Image
Pardon my messy brown tank, but I'm so stoked to finally wear my Keats & Kay kimono that I got at Elison Rd over the summer. This was my outfit for church last Sunday. It was a little casual but very Fall appropriate.

What do you think of this amazing kimono? Keats & Kay is a designer studying from Parsons in New York and her kimono is exclusively sold at Elison Rd. I love emerging designers.

PS.
Happy Halloween!

OOTD - Burgundy and lace

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe Halloween is tomorrow? October flew by so quickly. Serene Sky will be celebrating Halloween with a Trick or Treat sale starting today. Check out our site.

I had a jewelry trunk show in South Laguna Beach last Saturday. I thought I would wear bold colors to match the gorgeous Italian garden and landscape I was in.

Check out our jewelry trunk show table. Serene Sky is inspired by the California effortless lifestyle. Do you like our vintage inspired table?

Isn't this garden to die for? I didn't even feel like I was in California anymore but at some Italian villa. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

OC Fashion Week: Resort Wear - Bettinis in Brea

Image
Last Wednesday, it was Day 1 of OC Fashion Week at the St. Regis Botanical Gardens. The morning runway show was held at this picturesque garden that one of my photographer friends instantly text me where I was at when I instagrammed a photo.

The first resort wear show was highlighting Bettinis in Brea modeled by the Orange County Ballet Theatre. I loved that the way they entered was by ballet spins or a male dancer carrying the model to start her walk. Such a unique entrance! They walked so elegantly to effortlessly show these great resort wear dresses.

My favorite dress was this gold and white long sleeve dress. I can picture wearing this on a tropical vacation or daytime party. Love, love, love!

OC Fashion Week: America's Next Top Model Casting

Image
Last Thursday was Day 2 of OC Fashion Week and America's Next Top Model casting. Women came from all over California to try out with the America's Next Top Model casting director Michelle and her team.
When I arrived, the candidates were just about done getting their hair and make up done and doing a live photo shoot inside the Dana Point Yacht Club ballroom wearing pieces from the Marisa Kenson collection. The rest of the afternoon concluded with a photo shoot near the yachts and the docks. I tagged along with the real photographers and snapped these shots. Two models, Cerella and Elise, even wore my Serene Sky Boutique Fashion With a Cause bracelet. Get your very own breast cancer awareness bracelet at www.shopserenesky.comwww.shopserenesky.com.
Photographer Tina Chiou also got some great photos. Check out her page here. Isn't it amazing that one of these gals could be the next top model? I love their smize, don't you?

OOTD - Leather and lace

Image
On Thursday, I attended the America's Next Top Model casting held by OC Fashion Week at the Dana Point Yacht Club. I thought I would wear a combo of leather and lace to the event.
Stay tuned for a post and photos recapping the ANTM event!

I think monochromatic looks are my go to when I am rushing out the door and I didn't prepare my outfit in advance. Somehow wearing one color makes you look polished and taller. Ha!

Style Week OC: FIDM Debut

Image
The closing night of Style Week OC was at Fashion Island several weeks ago. The FIDM Debut showcased nine FIDM designers and their work. There was so much talent out there from these emerging designers. I loved the show and chose my favorites below.

Cadillac was a major sponsor for the show. I love this sheer black dress and Cadillac belt.

This Cadillac inspired dress won and made everyone ooh and ahh at the fashion show.

Sheer black tops are in a la the 90's.

I love this black and blue pencil skirt.

This isn't your mom's knitting project. I never knew you could knit such a cute fitted top.

Did you know Orange County is home to active wear? This outfit makes me want to learn how to snowboard minus the falling and bruising. The FIDM graphic design department even designed the snowboards. Cool, huh?

This dress is perfection. It's so feminine yet modern.

Statement skirt, yes please!

This outfit reminded me of something Kanye would wear. It's so MTV Music Awards.
