OOTD - LA stripes

I have been wanting to go to DVF Journey of a dress since it opened and finally had a chance yesterday. Blog post coming soon!
What a fun afternoon in LA! I love LA!

When will this 90 degree weather go away? What's up with the sudden heat wave?

OOTD - black and white happy hour

Hello Saturday! I had a fun time last night with some OC fashionistas and bloggers. I've been organizing these get togethers monthly and this time co-hosted with Kimberly at According to Kimberly. So cool to meet Instagram and twitter friends. We celebrated her finishing grad school and me launching a new lookbook.

OOTD - Pink palm trees

It's Tuesday shoes day. Bummer you can't see my shoes.
I  love the palm trees and pink dress. So perfect for spring and served as my Easter dress. The size is a little big abide I bought it way back after having a baby, but I love keeping favorite pieces in my closet.

Manna Kadar Lip Gloss

I attended Manna Kadar Cosmetics beauty launch of new Lip Locked lip stain last month in Laguna Beach. I was treated to champagne, spring makeover and beachy waves. I totally loved my beauty look. It rocked my world literally. That night was when there was that La Habra earthquake.
We, bloggers, were gifted with a lip gloss from Manna's line. I got this hot pink color called Hot Lips. I loved how it was long lasting and moisturized my lips. That's unheard of for a lip gloss to me.
Definitely check out Manna Kadar Cosmetics online!

It's beauty weekend on the blog! My best friend sent me a great birthday gift in February. It's this Japanese skincare line called Tatcha that she uses. I always wondered how she gets such glowing perfect skin.

I have finally used all the samples and have to say I love how smooth and glowy my skin looks. The system works by using the one step cleansing oil on your dry face and then following with a rice enzyme powder once your skin is damp. You follow up with the brightening serum and moisturizer. Ta dow! Pretty simple.

I can't wait to purchase the cleansing oil and enzyme powder to continue my skincare routine! Definitely check it out if you are into skincare!

Happy Friday!

Calling all LA and OC folks, I'm organizing a fun shopping event in Laguna Beach on May 8 6pm to 8pm. The event is hosted by bloggers Manicures & Merlot and will feature pop up shops from Serene Sky Boutique, Manna Kadar Cosmetics, Garden of Sins and Kelto's Totes. There will be a fashion showcase by Noelle Nicole Collection and complimentary cupcakes from Hello, Cupcake. Please check it out at Sourced 950 Glenneyre in Laguna Beach. More info on the blog too!

Onto the fashion, I thought I would try the dress and sneaker combo. Now I'm a believer! So comfy and who knew?!

OOTD - Feeling inspired

Happy almost Friday! Hope you're having a great week.

I feel inspired after attending a Fil Am Chamber of Commerce Secrets of Success event and hearing DJ Eman from Power 106, handbag designer Gina Alexander and Mayor Mark Pulido. Common themes of their talk were never:
-Be humble - Mark Pulido, Cerritos Mayor
-Don't be afraid to fail. Be inspired to succeed. - Ray Mangune, Gerry's Grill
-Do whatever you can to succeed. - Ray Mangune, Gerry's Grill
-Networking is important. Keep in touch with connections. - DJ Eman, Power 106
-Don't ever quit - Gina Alexander, handbag designer
-Connect with people  - Gina Alexander, handbag designer

I can't wait to attend the next event and look forward to collaborating with other Filipino Americans.
