OOTD - gone with the wind

Happy Halloween! Are you going Trick or Treating? You can get treats at my boutique Use code OCT31 for 31% off sitewide. Yay!

A few weeks ago, I didn't know what to wear so went with my favorite maxi skirt. It instantly makes me feel dressed up. I was in mommy mode during in the day and at night attended Scotch & Soda's grand opening. For my night look, I switched it to black pumps and lace moto jacket.

Stay tuned for Scotch & Soda's grand opening on the blog!

Maybelline Volum'Express The Mega Plush

Sadly, my poor Rimmel Scandalous mascara ran out so I had to go to my local CVS to find a new mascara. I loved that how Volum'Express The Mega Plush promised to do massive volume. I have long lashes but could always use more volume.

I've been using it for a week now and love the fanned out voluminous look my lashes have been. I would highly recommend this drugstore mascara.

OOTD - Fall black & white

I am  a sucker for flowers at farmers market. Last week, we went to the Surf City Farmers Market in downtown Huntington Beach. There's a Japanese farmer I go to all the time for organic apples and a balloon lady who makes balloons for my gals. It was finally feeling Fall like so I wore my go to leather blazer. I can't wait to rock it this Fall.

Kenneth Cole leopard sneakers

During my Bay Area getaway two weekends ago, I found these Kenneth Cole calf hair leopard sneakers at the TJ Maxx Santa Clara while shopping for a birthday gift. I decided not to get it but on my way back to San Jose I had these shoes on the brain. I had ten minutes until closing time and get those beauties. Do you ever go back to purchase something you're in love with? I guess I am a Maxxinista everywhere. Haha!

OOTD - Newport Back Bay

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe Halloween is 9 days away? How exciting!

I wore this outfit two weeks ago when I got invited to go to Newport Back Bay. It was finally a little chilly so I had to bring my favorite flannel with me that I got from the Two Point Oh LA picnic. The back bay is a perfect spot when you need to get out in nature. Being outside reminds me to just breathe

Fall Formal by Locale Magazine & OOTD

I was invited by my friend Manna from Manna Kadar Cosmetics to attend the Fall Formal by Locale Magazine a couple weeks ago. It was such a fun event held at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach. Any chance to dress up is a plus for me! I haven't worn this dress since my wedding reception in 2006 so to wear it again is a wonderful feeling.

Artesia International Street Fair recap & recommendations

I was invited by my parents to go to the Artesia International Street Fair. It was an awesome festival held on Pioneer Boulevard earlier this month. The Philippines area carried vendors from the Philippines.
I loved these bowls made of Acadia wood and got one for Serene Sky Boutique.
These handmade purses were neat! The outside area was made of corn husk.
Other booths included The Asian Journal and food from the Philippines like dried mango and pastillas.
The highlight were the street tacos that were $1.50 each. I got carnitas, al pastor and chorizo to share with the family.
Pioneer Blvd is home to the Indian community so I loved seeing the colorful blouses for sale.
The costume jewelry was colorful and eye catching too.
We ended our trip by going to an Indian grocery where they sold fresh produce.

If you're ever in the Artesia or Cerritos area, here are my favorite spots:

Union Market preview by Locale Magazine recap & OOTD

Last month, I was invited to the Union Market preview sponsored by Locale Magazine. I didn't know what to expect when I stepped into Union Market but was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of a OC Mix Mart with open layout of eateries and boutiques.

The decor would make Dwell magazine proud. I loved the exposed wood, succulents, concrete flooring, and exposed ceiling at Union Market.

PS. Many thanks to Locale Magazine and Union Market for the awesome preview night. I can't wait to return!

Great visual directory of tenants at Union Market
Yay for Portola! I love their iced chai tea lattes and monkey bread.

The signage at Luella Boutique was so cute!

Way happy about The Kroft being here . Loved their prime rib sandwich I tried at Packing District.

If I had this backdrop in my office, I'd be very happy!

This Parisian backdrop reminds me of my blogger friend Katie from All Glammed Up and Marion from Serene Sky.

I need to take a painting class at Timree!
