4th Street Market featuring PFC, MAR and Chunk N Chip

Image
Have you been to 4th Street Market in Santa Ana? I am loving that Orange County is home to all these foodie places.

I went a few weeks ago with hubby on date night and we got to try so many things. We loved everything - the vibe, decor, people watching, and food of course.

He tried PFC and got the spicy fried chicken with ranch dressing. We love fried chicken and this spicy flavor was a hit. You have to go if you love spicy!
I went to MAR known for their poke bowls. I made my own with salmon and tuna fish, mango, avocado, ginger and spicy sauce. It was the best poke bowl I've had though I wish there was more seafood. To accompany my meal, I got their popular guava lemonade. It was a meal that made me miss Hawaii.

We attended RAW Artists OC show that night. Stay tuned for a blog post! To end our date night, we got drinks and desserts. I got a rose and he got a beer at Recess by Playground. I wish they put it in glasses though for Instagram worthy photos.

Before the drive home, I al…

$4 Could Save 400 Years of Fashion History

Image
The FIDM Museum's newest social media fundraising campaign's goal is to acquire the Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection. This amazing collection includes 1,400 rare objects covering 400 years of fashion history. There are over twenty-two haute couture designers represented, including Paquin, Doucet, Chanel, Callot Soeurs, House of Worth, Fortuny, Lucile, Felix, Beer, and Lanvin. This collection would serve as a unique cultural treasure for the community - now and for future generations to enjoy.

Hope you can consider donating $4, $40, $400, $4,000 (or any amount!) by texting MUSEUM to 243725 or promoting the #4For400 effort  by following the FIDM Museum on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram for updates.

Tell me about yourself.  I was born and raised in India and moved to the US during high school. After attending three different high schools, I went to UCSD to study Chemistry. During the summer break before my last year, I was going to Europe for vacation and I didn’t have a camera. Not even a point and shoot. This was way before iPhone cameras were any good. So I bought a Nikon digital SLR thinking, "I need a nice camera to take nice pictures.” I “took” some nice photos on my trip. After graduating, I was taking a year off before going to Medical school. During that time, long story short, photography just took over my mind and I had to pursue it professionally. Fast forward a year, I took the leap of faith and without any prior profes…

Hair Care: SheaMoisture SuperFruit Shampoo

Image
I can rave all day about this perfect everyday shampoo. Whenever I look for a shampoo, I want something that smells good and is sulfate free.

I hit the jackpot with SheaMoisture SuperFruit Shampoo because it uses organic ingredients and has no parabens or sulfates. A little amount lathers up well for my long hair. I love that it is safe for color treated hair and so hydrating too.

Definitely check it out!
