OOTD - Kris Jenner vibes

Happy Thursday! Sharing my Kris Jenner inspired look I wore to Laguna Beach last month. Can you believe the weather was chilly where you could wear a blazer in May?
PS. I wish it was a beach day! Hooray for the holiday weekend coming up!

9 Round Kickboxing

My latest fitness obsession has been kickboxing at 9 Round Kickboxing. I got a Groupon for 5 classes recently. I love their concept of personal trainers and no class times. For a busy gal like me, it's nice that you can show up anytime and do a high intensity workout in 30 minutes. When you are there, you are guaranteed a tough sweaty workout in 9 rounds. The exercises are always different each time you go so it's good for people who get bored easily with workouts.

OOTD - Farmer girl

Happy Saturday! Sharing some photos from a recent Master Gardener event I attended with my family. I thought I would dress like a farmer girl for this outdoor event.

On this fun morning, I learned how to create compost , see chickens, create a butterfly cycle bracelet, view a butterfly garden, and create blueberry jam. I must say my jam was good on top of waffles. Yum!

Waterman's Dana Point

Happy Wednesday!
Last month, I attended my girlfriend Kimberly's birthday brunch at Waterman's in Dana Point. We were treated to a yummy brunch by a new executive chef from Hawaii. Hope you enjoy photos from our delicious brunch!
If you love brunch, this place is a must see!

DIY mimosas with pomegranate, strawberry, jalapeno and lemon, and a variety of fresh juices
A mimosa and this view doesn't disappoint

The poke lettuce wraps were refreshing and light.
I was introduced to chilaquiles by my girlfriend Candice and this dish was a hit at brunch.

It was hard to share this paella with chorizo, mussels and shrimp with Vincent, Sophia, and Nica.

Gimme a beet. This kale salad with grape tomatoes and beets were a good way to eat some greens.
If I could have this everyday, life would be complete. Pictured are pork belly pancakes.

Another snap of our DIY mimosa tray. We ladies love our mimosas at brunch.

To finish our meal, we were treated with cheeseca…

Recreational Coffee

I found the perfect coffee shop for a #TeamSereneSky meeting. It's Recreational Coffee in Long Beach. I ordered the lavender donut and almond chai tea latte. This snack was definitely yummy! This coffee shop had a cute hipster and modern vibe with free wifi. Perfect for meetings and studying. Definitely check out this cute spot!

Lately, I've been going to my old college town , Fullerton , for some photo shoots. I always spy ShareTea and finally had a chance to check out this tea place .
This cute tea shop's interior had a nice minimal modern decor. The staff were friendly and the customers looked like locals from Cal State Fullerton and the neighborhood. Their menu had a good number of choices and I asked for a recommendation.
I ordered their Honey Lemon with Aloe Tea. Wow, I've never had aloe in my drink and was definitely liking the texture and simplicity of the honey and lemon flavors.
I wish there was a closer location to me, but luckily Yelp told me there's one in Costa Mesa. I can't wait to return.
If you're a tea lover like me, definitely check it out!

La Rue du Chocolate

As a local Orange County gal, I love it when I discover places I've never been before . Case in point, I walked into the cutest chocolatier in Laguna Beach last Saturday.
This cozy shop carries chocolate galore with a beachy feel. There were sea shells and shovels shaped chocolates. I even bought #1 dad chocolates for Father's Day.
I loved all the homemade truffles especially these animal truffles. I got the milk cow and it was not only cute but amazing.

Hermosa Beach Diary

Last month, my sorority sister visited Southern California to attend  her USC graduation. I've known Candice since college and getting together with her once a year is always a blast.

We hung out in Hermosa Beach and caught up. We checked out the cutest boutique called Gum Tree Shop and Cafe. They had the cutest assortment of home goods and accessories. You could just live in there.

Going to Hermosa Beach isn't complete without a walk down memory lane. We reminisced about going to the bars here in Downtown Hermosa. Does anyone remember Sharkees?

Our last spot was for dessert and drinks at Creme de la Crepes. All the women happened to sit at the bar and we quickly found out why. The bartender/manager was a friendly French man. My girlfriend got sparkling wine while I got a blood orange bellini along with a delicious crepe.

I loved my day in Hermosa Beach and can't wait to go back and hang with my girlfriend when she visits again!

The Attic #Brunch

I keep hearing about The Attic in Long Beach and finally went with a new fashion designer friend Sandy.
To warn you, there's a wait on Saturdays but a little stroll at the beach will make time go by faster.
The restaurant is cute with an outdoor patio that makes you think #Brunch #Goals and lots of people watching from the busy street nearby.
The menu is definitely Cajun and Southern inspired. We both got egg dishes. It was my first time trying poached eggs and now I'm a believer. My plate included fried green tomatoes with English muffin, avocado, spicy sausage, potatoes and fruit. It was very filling and I would definitely order this again. But maybe with a mimosa or cocktail next time. It's called FGT Benedict  on the menu.
My girlfriend ordered the The Blue Bayou which was scrambled eggs with blue crab, shrimp , cheese, onions and avocado. Yum!
Definitely check this spot out if you're a Brunch lover like me.
