I can't live without my....

Fresh & Easy's Retreat Cucumber and Grapefruit body wash. This affordable market sells this great smelling body wash that doesn't leave a sticky film. It's a steal for $2.99 too. Since I'm pregnant too, I like that it's natural too. I can't wait to try other items from their Retreat line.

House of PlumRed

My dad told me his friend's daughter just started a new online boutique called House of PlumRed. Can't wait to check it out. I'm always up for online shopping! More info: Style Binge blog post - House of PlumRed -

Bowling in OC

I've been bowling a lot and had to share places I've gone recently. -300 at Anaheim Gardenwalk - slippery bowling ally that serves wannabe pizookies. Yum! -Fountain Bowl - rock and bowl rocks! Very hesher crowd. The plus is Ozzie's with karaoke. -Lucky Strike at The Block - a little loud for my taste and too crowded. I may have to put my bowling shoes away with my belly getting big. 'Til my next strike!

Cupcake Challenge recap

Last Saturday, my friend and I had cupcake overload when we attended Cupcake Challenge at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood. I've never seen so many women of all sizes packed in a hotel ballroom. It was like a bridal or women's convention. Each bakery served two mini-cupcakes for patrons to enjoy and vote on for best original, best traditional, and best overall. My vote goes for best original is chocolate covered strawberry at Two Parts Sugar, best traditional is red velvet at Big Man Bakes, and best overall is sweet and salty vanilla at Blue Cupcake.

Cotton On

Last Sunday, my mom, hubby, and I celebrated Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year by having lunch at Saffron Grill . Hubby decided to go home after, so mom and I went to Main Place to kill time. We found this store called "Cotton On" full of neat items made of cotton (surprise!). I got this cutesy black and white striped dress for $24.90. It's stretchy material so will go well w/ my growing belly. I think it'll look cute with black flats or tall flat boots. More info: Cotton On -

I can't live without my...

Stila talking palette in original. My girlfriend got me this for christmas. I've always loved smoky eyes. Now I can achieve them easily with these eyeshadows and instructions.  The neutral colors make it a great choice for day or night look. You can intensify the look with whatever blush or lipgloss you use.  More info: Stila Costmetics -

Zetta rain boots

Another cool gift I got from my brother are these Zetta tall rain boots in gray from Target. I got to wear them last Tuesday when it was raining. It was a little cumbersome to get used to the rubber boots but I liked that it kept my feet dry. Thanks sibling! More info: Zetta rain boots -

Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc

I celebrated my birthday last week with friends and family. On my actual birthday, we ate at Lizzaran tapas restaurant and last Saturday at Versailles Cuban restaurant. My mom got me this Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc I've been wanting in orchid mosaic. The plum and pink colors go great this winter to give me some color since I don't have my tan. Sur La Table's Once a Year Sale

Yesterday, before watching the Super Bowl, my mom and I went to the mall. We checked out Sur La Table's Once a Year Sale. Bakeware was 20% to 40% off. I was able to get a new brownie pan for $5.56. Whoo hoo! I can't wait to bake me some Betty Crocker brownies with walnuts. More info: Once A Year Sale: Sur La Table's Exclusive Bakeware & Ramekins -

H&M Mama

I was at South Coast Plaza with my mom after church today. I ran across H&M's Maternity Line called H&M Mama in the kids section. How cool! They have trendy dresses, jeans, pants, and comfy tees. I definitely will return to check it out a bit closer.

Grey boots

I wanted to expand my shoe collection over the holidays so bought grey suede booties. Look at how goregeous they are. DSW has the best selection of shoes. I've used them with dark grey leggings and a grey flowery top.

Maternity skinny jeans

I sure miss some of my pre-pregnancy clothes. I've been creative and wearing tops that fit me to go along with maternity pants or leggings. One purchase that I recently made was a pair of maternity skinny jeans in dark blue. I wore them Saturday night with a grey top to go bowling at a birthday party. I think I looked cute for being 25 weeks preggers.

Beachcomber Cafe

Hubby and I took a day off and stayed at the Crystal Cove Beach Cottage Sunday night. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. How relaxing! For breakfast, we ate at the Beachcomber Cafe. With a view overlooking Crystal Cove, we grubbed on beignets, corned beef hash and mushroom, spinach and tomato omelette. Oooh how I love breakfast! We walked on the beach afterwards to enjoy this cozy cove. More info: Beachcomber Cafe -

TK Burgers

I first tried TK Burgers years ago with co-workers. The hubby was hungry on Saturday after his haircut so I suggested going to TK Burgers. His cheeseburger was good, tasted like one you'd make at a backyard barbeque. My shitake mushroom burger was healthy and good. Their fries seasoned with fry salt accompanied the meal well. Do check out TK Burgers if you have a burger craving. I know me and baby like burgers. More info: TK Burgers -

I take the train to work everyday. My fave stop has to be Hollywood Highland. Why? The Hollywood Highland shopping plaza they have! I love the Beard Papa's, Forever 21, Sephora, American Eagle, Zara's, and H&M there. My brother and his friends had some time to kill on Friday after visiting the He-Man exhibit on Melrose, so I suggested Hollywood Highland. I could meet up and go shopping. Whoo hoo! He text me that they're hanging out at uWink. I've never been inside uWink. I was expecting a typical restaurant bar, but this is so much cooler. Each table has a computer monitor with a touch screen. Customers can order food and drinks plus play games. I loved the games, especially MyWord (their version of Taboo) and Bobbles (like Bejeweled). I ordered a Shirley Temple and mozarella sticks to tide me and baby over until dinner. I definitely suggest checking out uWink if you're at Hollywood Highland. Way cool and futuristic!
