I was at Downtown Disney this morning waiting for a friend. I found these cute sandals in my size and had to get them. What's cute about them is you wouldn't even notice the rings make up Mickey Mouse. Aren't they adorable?

Downtown sweets and eats

My brother and friend picked me up last night in downtown LA for dinner. But before we headed to din, we had to make a pit stop at Big Man Bakes and Babycakes. I got mini cupcakes of lemon and vanilla at Big Man Bakes. Then, I got vanilla spelt cupcakes made w/ agave, no dairy, egg, or soy at Babycakes. Yum! Mac & Cheeza was a place we went to next. The custom mac and cheese was delish. I customized mine w/ chorizo and mushroom. If only it weren't Lent Friday, I'd eat my leftovers right now. Beer in dessert?

I've heard of bacon in desserts. Now the new trend is beer. What will they think of next? I'm not sure if I'm a fan of savory desserts. I like my desserts to be sweet. More info: Beer for dessert - LA Times article :,0,162208.story

Brussels Bistro

This Belgian bistro holds a special place in my heart. The hubby and I went here for our anniversary five years ago before he proposed at Laguna Beach. When we have out of town guests visiting, we like taking them to Laguna Beach and grabbing lunch. Their burger and belgian fries are definitely not worth missing. For drinkers, they have a nice array of brews too. More info: Yelp link -

Nordstroms Private Beauty Event

I got an email today about Nordstroms Private Beauty Event. There are deals for MAC, Bliss, and Laura Mercier. Happy shopping! More info: Shop -

25 Degrees

Last night, I watched the opening night of Cats at the Pantages with hubby. Before meeting up, I got some dinner at 25 Degrees at the Roosevelt Hotel. The ground sirloin beef cheeseburger with garlic aoili sauce was definitely filling. The sweet potato and regular fries accompanied the burger nicely too. The trendy decor and dim lighting made it a cozy place to relax away from the windy chilly air. Sorry for the dim iPhone pictures: More info: 25 Degrees -

Stroller shopping

The hubby and I went shopping in Costa Mesa stroller shopping this weekend. We spied the Bumbleride Flyer and Orbit stroller. They're both so cute and modern. I wonder which one we'll get for baby. Yay! More info: Orbit stroller - Bumbleride Flyer -

Brush cleaners

I bought a refill of my Georgio Armani luminous silk foundation in #8. The lovely sales gal also gave me some recommendations for brush cleaners. Here goes: MAC Cosmetics Brush Cleaner, $11 - Clinique Makeup Brush Cleaner, $13 - Can't wait to try one of these!

LA recommendations

I work in lala land and my co-workers know I love food. Here are some of their picks I still gotta try: Pie & burger in Pasadena 25 degrees in Hollywood Astro burger In Santa Monica  I'll have to have my friends check these two out: Good luckbar on Hollywood/ sunset Short stop in echo park Ooh la la!

Nordstroms purse

I have been wanting this Nordstroms bag since last fall. My girlfriends and I spied it at the Nordstroms Half Yearly Sale. They both got purses, but I decided to wait. I think my wait has finally paid off because I found it at Nordstroms Rack last Saturday for a lil' less than the department store. I can't wait to sport this cognac bag. I love that it has a strap if I don't want to lug it with the handle. I wonder if it can carry diapers when baby is born. Hmmm...

James Perse sample sale

My hubby and I can never pass up a James Perse sample sale, especially if it's in Orange County. Last Saturday, we didn't let the rain stop us and went around 10am. The crowd was very Newport Beach and socialite - very different from the LA sample sale crowd I'm used to. This sale was different and only had four racks of samples, while the rest were normal priced stuff. The hubby and I got a few things for $50 - green tank and grey tee for me and grey collared tee for him. Lookie here: 'Til next time James Perse!
