Yummy Cupcakes

Last Wednesday, I visited my cousin and his family in Burbank before he headed home from his six month vacation here. After our fun little reunion, I made my brother drive me to Yummy Cupcakes. I checked out their website beforehand. They were featured on the food network for their cupcake in a jar product. Upon entering their store, you see a bakery with a nice display of all types of cupcakes. I decided on getting four to try. I've eaten three of them so far. The cupcakes were nice and light without feeling too decadent. Lemon mediteranean Was nice. Imagine lemon cake with cream cheese frosting and a dash of sea salt. Fudgy yummy was exactly that. It Tasted like a fudge brownie. Red velvet was good too with a hint of chocolate. Happy day flavor is waiting for me. Looks like a funfetti vanilla cupcake. Vince Camuto shoes

I was at nordstroms at the grove last week with brother and baby. I spied these to die for for heels by Vince camuto. I'd love to wear these to one of the five weddings I have been invited to this summer and fall. The use of suede and leather makes it such a hot and sexy combo. It's a little pricy at $129 though. His site has even more fabulous shoes. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Magnolia bakery

I first tried this NYC bakery on accident last year. Then, I read that magnolia bakery opened in LA recently. Ooh la la! I definitely want to visit soon and see if it compares to new York. Will keep you posted on my cupcake tasting. More info: - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Laura Mercier Lip Stain

I was looking at some old pictures at home with some friends. I was reminded of my dark lips and how my big lips stood out. Gone are the days I wear burgundy lipstick and matching lipliner. Seeing those pictures made me want to recreate that look without being so dated. I tried on Laura mercier's lip stain in sugar violet at my local sephora and loved it, so bought this lil pot online. I love that I can leave it in baby girls diaper bag and smash it on to look decent. Go new mom me! I def recommend this long lasting stain. It goes on dry but you get used to it if you're a lip gloss gal. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

All this time I thought I didn't like Sprinkles, but I think it is because I don't order the right flavor. Vanilla and cinnamon sugar, ick. On my last trip, I tried lemon blueberry, chai and dark chocolate. Yum! The dark chocolate is so decadent and rich for a cupcake. If it were a giant cake, I'd eat the whole thing for sure. Today, baby and I drove to sprinkles after my eye appointment. The line was crazy as usual. I happened to be behind another mom carrying a car carrier with her daughter. Guess we moms think alike. Today's purchase consisted of cherry, lemon, red velvet and dark chocolate. I inhaled the cherry and thought it was great. The cherry cake was light and you could taste the cherry in the frosting. Eating it with their popsicle wooden spoon is cool too. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Clinique even better clinical dark spot corrector

I think the sunbathing and times I picked my zits have caught up with me. My skin has so much hyperpigmentation that I'm finally doing something about it. I bought clinique's latest serum to banish dark spots. It's only been less than a week using it and I must day I love the way my skin feels. Smooth. Brighter. Polished. Can't wait to see after 12 weeks of using this thing. I definitely recommend this for all you former sun worshipers. Remember to always use sunscreen! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

When I don't feel like paying exorbitant pinkberry prices, I like going to yogurtland for my tart yogurt fix. This afternoon, baby and I walked to our local yogurtland. I got my usual plain tart with mango, strawberry, blackberry, lychee, and mochi. Yum! And all for $0.30 an ounce. Try their new lemonade passion fruit flavor too. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Thai Nakorn

I'm so surprised I haven't written about my favorite thai restaurant in oc. This restaurant is the go to spot when dining with a big group of friends. I've had many memorable meals here. At their former buena park location that burnt down, I celebrated Christmas with my girlfriends and boyfriends (now husbands) many years ago. I've had double dates with my brother in law and his girlfriend and Christmas eve dinners with out of towners at their garden grove location. My brother and I go to the Stanton location whenever we can. I love everything on their menu, from the pad kee mow, pad thai, yellow curry, panang curry, chicken satay, papaya salad, crispy rice, to fried pomfret with chili sauce. Pictured here are their desserts. Sticky rice and mango plus Coconut ice cream. Mmm! (btw, don't you love how crisp the photo Is. I took it with my new iPhone 4g!) Facial wash addict

I just realized what a facial wash addict I am when I looked at my bathroom counter. Currently, I'm switching it up between Shu Uemera Cleansing Oil , C.O. Bigelow Vitamin Boost Gel Cleanser , Dermalogica Skin Resurfacing Cleanser .Shu Uemera is nice when I don't want to use oil. Vitamin Boost Gel works when I want a squeaky clean feel, while Dermalogica is great when I feel like an exfoliating wash.
