Mama Mio

I bought some new Mama Mio products online and finally got them last week. I had seen them before at Motherhood and Kourtney Kardashian's blog, so wanted to try.

Now that I'm getting bigger, I wanted something I can easily slather on. Tummy Rub and O'mega to the rescue. I put the tummy one on my tummy and O'mega everywhere else. I love that it's geared for preggo women so I know it's safe and I only need a little for it to absorb. Hopefully no stretch marks post pregnancy (fingers crossing!).

Fire Safety Tips

It’s been about a month since my family and I survived a house fire. It's been a roller coaster of ups and downs. I feel optimistic and very thankful to survive and recover from my injuries. We have been blessed by family, friends, colleagues, and the community for the generosity and support we have received. Our firefighters told me most fires occur in the kitchen or bedroom, either started by electrical or candle. Racist Episodes

Upon reflecting on racism in my life, a few key episodes stick out in my mind. Denmark - My first encounter with racists was in high school when I stayed with a home stay family. They made me feel unwelcome for being an Asian American and kept saying they wish they got an American student, but in my mind I was an American study. They kept inquiring where was I from & I said I’m from California. I complained to the group chaperone and was quickly switched to a more welcoming home stay family and able to have a better experience. Denver - I was on a date with my boyfriend/now husband waiting for our table at a restaurant. I noticed subtle racist Behavior when a white couple who came in after us was seated first. I brought it up to my boyfriend and he says don’t worry about it and we’ll get seated first. This restaurant is first come, first serve.
