I stumbled on a blog called The Drugstore Princess , where she covers drugstore alternatives for make up. She wrote about Benefit's High Beam and said the e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal is a good buy and only $1. I went to my local Target to grab one and used it recently following Michelle Phan's advice on highlighting the face. I must say  I like this highlighter a lot and love the J-Lo glowy look it gives me.

Yesterday was over 85 degrees in Irvine as I attended a birthday party and watched Monsters U with the family. I decided to pair my favorite Zara skort with a graphic tee after seeing Wendy's Lookbook Youtube video on styling graphic tees the other night. I'm wearing an American Eagle 1977 tee (old), Zara skort (bought online but I think it's sold out), and Sam Edelman Trina sandals ( link ). Purse is from Mango and bracelet is from Spain. P.S. It seems like I've been in a nostalgic mood lately and going to Tastea reminds me of going here when I was first starting my career. I would get my tea fix here when the boba craze was first starting up. I even featured this place in a boba article I did for a teen magazine years ago. If memory serves me correctly, this awesome tea place in Westminster was started by Cal State Fullerton grads. Go Titans! I was reunited with Tastea at the Asian Garden Mall night market recently and have gone there twice to get my fix. It is so easy to get addicted to their Peach Sweet Tea that has strawberry and peach bits. I add mango bits for even more fun. Their menu has changed since I've gone in the early 2000's and expanded to other types of drinks. I can't wait to try their other Specialteas soon.

There was this great quote on Huffington Post Style yesterday on their Tumblr. "Sometimes I get very dressed up just to go to the corner for some bread. I dress for my own amusement." - Pablo Picasso. That statement rang true for me running errands around town. This pencil skirt was a little hard to walk in but at least I dressed up.   I'm wearing a Topshop Love pencil skirt ( similar ), Love on a Hanger shirt ( similar ), and Franco Sarto sandals ( similar ). This summer has been turning out to be wedding season. I have my second wedding to attend in San Diego in two weeks. With all the weddings happening, it only makes me reminisce. I have been married six years and loved my wedding day. It was perfect in every way minus the inexperienced bartender, wrong bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl outgrowing her dress, DJ not playing correct entrance music, photographer not taking more pictures at reception, and priest flubbing the homily. These were all things I noticed but didn't care because it was all about being present and in the moment. My wedding day was surreal and like a dream. To dress in a big wedding gown and be a princess for a day was a blast. Happy Wednesday folks! Where did June go? I'm wearing a Banana Republic top ( similar ), H&M white jeans ( similar ), and Franco Sarto sandals ( similar ). Bracelets are from New Mexico and Singapore. Necklace is borrowed from my mom. She got it at a boutique in Belmont Shores. 

I had heard about the Environmental Nature Center in Costa Mesa for some time and finally had a chance to visit two weeks ago. I didn't know what to expect. When I arrived, I was immediately impressed with the gorgeous wood and glass building. We went inside to check out their small nature museum. There were infographics on animals and plants, stuffed animals like skunk and coyote, and live snakes. They were in a glass tank so not to worry. The place is kid friendly with books and touchable items in a native hut for kids to check out. The front desk employee said there's even a butterfly house that's open until 3pm and a lot of trails outside to explore. I will have to come back to explore that with the kiddos.

Ohmigosh, I haven't worn this black and white striped dress for over 3 years. I remember wearing it for my baby shower for my first pregnancy. How time flies! If you read my blog, you know I love farmers markets and gourmet food trucks. Every Thursday,  there's a farmers market at the OC Fairgrounds from 9am to 1pm and gourmet food trucks from 11am to 2pm. Last Thursday, I went there to buy kale, strawberries, and apples. Then, it was time to hit the gourmet food trucks. I decided on the Tamarindo truck. Their menu called out to me with the assortment of tortas, tacos, and seafood items. I decided on two tacos, namely the: Fish: Grilled fish, sweet pepper cabbage avocado slaw, spicy serrano salsa. Vegetarian:   Black bean and garlic spread, sweet pepper-cabbage-avocado slaw, grilled pineapple, pickled red onions, avocado slices, arbol salsa, mexican crema, topped with cilantro. I must say that these tacos sure packed a flavor punch I wasn't expecting. The flavors were fresh and on point. I loved it and can't wait to try out other items from their menu. I decided to bring the 90's back. My brother said all I'm missing are my DKNY silver aviator sunglasses when I mentioned I need overalls next. Yesterday afternoon was spent in the pool with the family so no outfit post today. Instead, I thought I would share my pool essentials that I think you'll  need for summer: Bikini - I love my GRivera bandeau bikini . I met Guilherme Rivera at OC Fashion Week last March and he invited us to a party where he was selling his swimwear. It's only once in a blue moon when you can buy swimwear straight from a Brazilian designer. Cover up - In my case, I am not into those oversize tunics. I like shorts and a cropped tee before I hit the pool. Pool toys - I like a good old beach ball and floating toy for the 3 year old. It's a fun way to have some water fun. Bright comfy beach towels - Remember those striped towels you saw at my Cirque du Bebe party? Well, they made their official appearance at the pool yesterday. Sunscreen - My mother in law gave us this great natural sunscreen for kids. I prefer kids' sunscreen since I feel it offers more protection. This Alba

Happy Saturday! Did everyone enjoy the summer solstice yesterday? It's officially summer. Whoo hoo! Hope you have some exciting plans this summer.
