San Diego: Trattoria Fantastica

In my weekend staycation, we headed to San Diego. Hubby and I were trying to figure out dinner with the family that was baby friendly. He thought of taking the trolley to Little Italy. (Brownie points for a good idea!)

It was a great evening to head down there with the cool weather to walk. In all my visits to San Diego, I had never been to Little Italy. It is such a cool strip with so much history. By reading the signage there, I learned that celebrations were held for the 2006 Winter Turin Olympics and 2006 FIFA game with Italy. How exciting!

For dinner, hubby found this cute restaurant called Trattoria Fantastica. The menu was fantastica for sure. I ordered the boscaiola which is chicken, mushroom, roasted tomatoes, garlic, and pink sauce. Brother ordered the veal with vegetables. Dad got the fra diavola which is angel hair, shrimp, onion, and spicy roasted tomato sauce which I forgot to take a picture of. Hubby got the bolognese.

We all loved the food and attentive service. It was the first time I finished my plate. It was that delicious.

If you're ever in Little Italy San Diego, be sure to check this place out!
