Fashion Profile: Krystle Anaya

Editor note: I fell in love with Krystle's headbands when I had a lookbook shoot for Serene Sky. I'm so happy I reached out to her and got to know her more. Stay tuned for tomorrow's first giveaway featuring Krystle's headbands on my blog.

Tell me about yourself.
I'm a pretty simple girl from Orange County. I went to Long Beach City College and studied fashion merchandising. I'm inspired by the beach. When I'm not designing my headband line I'm a freelance swimwear designer. I run the business on my own, I design, source all our fabrics, make patterns, cute, sew, model, and market all of our products. So it definitely keeps me busy. I am a very creative person and my mind is always running wild with new ideas.

What inspired you to start KRZA by Krystle Dawn?
When I was in school I'd always take everyone's scraps of fabric and make headbands out of them, and one day my teacher said I should make headbands and they them because they were actually cute. I also needed to practice sewing for my design classes so it was the perfect opportunity to strengthen my sewing and get my creativity out into the world.

How would you describe your style?
I defiantly have the whole beachy vibe. I'm a jeans and tee with flip flops kinda girl.

What's your favorite place in OC?
I really love going to Banzai bowl in Huntington Beach on Main Street. When I need a break from a project, it's the perfect getaway for a snack then I like to walk on the pier and people watch.
