Double cleansing

Have you heard of a beauty technique called double cleansing? You basically wash first with an oil cleanser and follow up with a regular cleanser to get all the oil, pollution, makeup and grime out.

I first found out about this method while getting a facial at Paul Mitchell The Skin Academy in Costa Mesa years ago. The skin therapists used Precleanse and Special Cleansing Gel from Dermalogica to get my skin squeaky clean.

I recently tried Tatcha's skincare line with the same concept while vacationing in Maui last spring. I used One Step Cameela Cleansing Oil and Rice Enzyme Powder. I loved that the rice enzyme powder was great for my hyperpigmentation.

Currently, my routine is using Shu Uemera Anti/Oxi skin refining cleansing oil that my hubby purchased in Japan. I then follow with a great foaming cleanser I discovered while I was in Montreal and I lost my luggage. The local pharmacy recommended Purety Thermale Purifying Foaming Water by Vichy. Luckily, you can get Vichy at my local CVS in Orange County. I've been complimented that  I'm more glowy and I think trying the double cleansing technique is why.

Here's more info from Brydie.com on double cleansing. Try this method and tweet me what you think @sunnynblue.
