Calivino Wine Pub

Last week, I had the opportunity to do a food and wine tasting at the new Calivino Wine Pub located in Anaheim. My blogger friends Amanda from Feast.Fashion.Faves and Kimberly from According to Kimberly joined me for the inaugural Tuesday Trivia Night at Calivino too. We were immediately met by founder Daniel Bradley at our corner booth and were presented food and wine menus. We learned that the popular savory bites are the Bacon Dates and Brussels Sprouts and popular Between the Bread items are Lamb Burger and Caprese. We decided on the Cheese Platter, Bacon Dates, and Brussels Sprouts to go with our wine. My friends and I decided on Riesling from Germany, Clayhouse Adobe Red Blend, and Clayhouse Adobe White Blend. The savory bites made by Chef Patrick Dale were so mouthwatering and went perfectly well with our wine during our night of catching up and girl talk. I really loved the goat cheese and honey complimenting the Bacon Dates and hint of honey and pork belly on the Bru

OOTD - look alive

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I love sleeping in and working at home in my pj's. I decided to finally get ready and wore this Fall outfit last week. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I wanted to say thank you so much for the messages, texts, emails, and hugs my family has received after my grandma's recent passing. My grandma was a strong woman and I only hope to be like her and raise my gals to be as strong as her. We are so appreciative for the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Last month, I was invited to Feast.Fashion.Faves x Great Over Good Blogger Brunch in Santa Ana. My friend Amanda from Feast.Fashion.Faves co-hosted a fun brunch that included mingling with other bloggers and an educational talk from other bloggers like Alyssa from Living In Style OC and Deni from Khollage. Fun pop up shops from Alixandra Collections and The Oxford Trunk were also set up for guests to browse and shop from. I loved the black and white color scheme and fall flowers and pine cones as party decor. My shop, , also donated to the raffle and swag bags. We donated our Industrial Deco necklace from Silk Purse, Sow's Ear. Overall, it was a fun fall morning and I loved spending it with new and old blogger friends! OOTD - Pasadena tourist

I love clearing my schedule and having a true day off. My Colorado friends were in town recently so I met up with them in Pasadena. We decided on Noodle World for lunch and shopped in Old Town Pasadena. It was such a fun afternoon. It made me realize -- great friendships are the ones you can just pick up where you left off. Dots Cupcakes

Earlier this month, I headed to Pasadena to visit friends visiting from Colorado. I was heading to their hotel and spotted Dots Cupcakes so had to stop by to get a treat for my friends. This cupcake place was so adorable and colorful. The cozy bakery offered lots of different flavors like carrot, mayer lemon, pumpkin, raspberry lemon, strawberry shortcake, duce de leche, chocobutter, chocolate mint, macon, chocolate coconut, fleur de sel, cookies and creme, red velvet, chocolate vanilla, chocolate lovers, vanilla . I decided on pumpkin, dulce de leche, vanilla chocolate, lemon meyer, and fleur de sel. The lemon meyer's cupcake was moist and frosting wasn't too overwhelming. More info: Dots cupcakes

Bacchus Wine Bar & Bistro

Earlier this month, my husband and I  had the pleasure of doing a wine and food tasting at Bacchus Bar & Bistro located in Quail Hill in Irvine. I had been to Bacchus years ago with friends back when it was known as Bacchus Secret Cellar. Bacchus was quietly renovated and relaunched as Bacchus Bar & Bistro earlier this year. Upon entering Bacchus Bar & Bistro, I immediately loved the cozy feeling of wine displayed everywhere and lights strung above. On the weeknight that we were there, the restaurant was buzzing with guests. The friendly manager Deb met us at our table and gave us some time to check out the menu. We started off with some wine and a cheeseboard.  I decided on the Euro Whites: Deusa Nai Albarino, Spain , Nikolahof Gruner, Austria, and Vie Vite Rose, France. Hubby started with Round Pond "Kith & Kin", Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. For our cheeseboard, we chose the Chevre' with Rose Preserves, Co
