Holiday Wish List for Orangewood Children's Foundation

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to volunteer with my dad's Gawad Kalinga e-Rotary club at Orangewood Children's Foundation in Santa Ana. We made lunch and gifts plus arranged Santa Claus for a visit with the kids. I was humbled by seeing all the foster kids and their parents. Seeing all the generosity of toys, bikes, and items donated was eye opening. I was able to donate a big train set and hopefully it makes a little boy or girl happy this Christmas.

According to the Web site, Orangewood Children's Foundation's core efforts are
  1. Successfully transition emancipated foster youth
  2. Support children in foster care
  3. Sustain the Orangewood Children's Home (now known as the Orangewood Children & Family Center)
  4. Strengthen at-risk families
I hope you take the opportunity to give back and get something from their wish list and deliver it this holiday season. Visit their holiday wish list here. Gift cards are the largest need as they teach youth money management.
