Two ways to style a blush faux fur coat

First off, happy new year! I'm so excited about 2015's endless possiblities. 

I have been on the hunt for a blush faux fur coat and was so happy I found one at the H&M kids section in San Francisco. Merry Christmas to me! I wanted to show you two ways to style my coat.

A few weeks ago after a Serene Sky photo shoot, I treated half of my team to happy hour at Zimbala in Downtown Huntington Beach. This place is a must go and I have to return with some blogger friends or hubby.

Last night for New Year's Eve, we went to my uncle's house for dinner before heading home for the countdown. It's such a tradition to watch Rockin Eve . It's so sad Dick Clark passed away but I love that Ryan Seacrest is keeping up the tradition. I loved Taylor Swift's performance. I wished she did Blank Space too. Haha!

Fire Safety Tips

It’s been about a month since my family and I survived a house fire. It's been a roller coaster of ups and downs. I feel optimistic and very thankful to survive and recover from my injuries. Racist Episodes

Upon reflecting on racism in my life, a few key episodes stick out in my mind. Denmark - My first encounter with racists was in high school when I stayed with a home stay family. They made me feel unwelcome for being an Asian American and kept saying they wish they got an American student, but in my mind I was an American study. They kept inquiring where was I from & I said I’m from California. I complained to the group chaperone and was quickly switched to a more welcoming home stay family and able to have a better experience. Denver - I was on a date with my boyfriend/now husband waiting for our table at a restaurant. I noticed subtle racist Behavior when a white couple who came in after us was seated first. I brought it up to my boyfriend and he says don’t worry about it and we’ll get seated first. This restaurant is first come, first serve.
