Last Saturday, I decided to hit the BB Dakota sample sale in Costa Mesa. I love this sale and got so many dresses, skirts, and shorts. Shh, don't tell hubby! I'll do a post on my new goodies! With the loss of Versailles in Manhattan Beach, I remembered my old co workers taking me to Havana Mania in Redondo Beach for my birthday lunch. This yummy restaurant serves Cuban cuisine and cocktails. Whenever I am here we get the rabo encendido (oxtail goodness) , plantanos (fried bananas ) and sangria.  The service is always great in this lovely restaurant . I always see a mix of locals, families , couples on a date and even yuppies enjoying dinner here.  More info: Yelp

I went on a double date with our good friends last weekend at SOCIAL in Costa Mesa. We had such a good time catching up and eating good New American food. The decor of SOCIAL is really cute with rustic wood, dim lighting, and full bar. The service was really good and attentive too. I love  cheese boards. We ordered one with soft cheese and a meat sampler. My favorite was the spicy salami. I wish they put more bread though. Dinner isn't complete without drinks. The guys got red wine and beer while I tried one of their handcrafted cocktails ($12.50).  My light of lillet was a fusion of ginger and wine and topped with edible flowers. It was very pretty and a little strong, but good. Yelp reviewers said the chicken and waffles was good and they weren't lying. The chef special was soft shell crab and pork belly with an aoili dressing. This dish was my favorite. The brussels sprouts was heavenly. Topped with pine nuts and sweet potatoes. You must get this.

Meow! Lately I have become a cat fan ever since my brother got a munchin cat and my mom has been caring for new kittens. Any cat lovers out there? We went to South Coast Plaza a couple weekends ago and I wore this cute oufit mixing prints. And, what do you think of my throne? Haha!
