When your honeymoon was in Spain it's only right to celebrate your anniversary with Spanish tapas - specifically a new restaurant at SOCO Costa Mesa called Pueblo .

Hubby and I read great reviews of this spot in Westways so we were dying to try it out. The service and food did not disappoint. It also helped that I had a tinto De  Verona, my fave drink in Spain , to start.

The beautiful bar

Queso Fundido was complimentary and perfect starter to go with our drinks. Made with fava beans.

Lamb meatballs were on point. I'm not usually a fan of lamb but I loved this.

No Spanish tapas is complete without Gambas Al Ajillo. When we were in Spain for my honeymoon, this was my go to food because I was pescatarian at that time. I loved that this one included lots of garlic for a garlic lover like me.

Seared ahi salad with marcona almonds. So fresh and so lovely!

A rose for a summer night, of course. Wearing new Gena Myint bracelets from shopserenesky.com.

We were still hungry so finished with gazpacho. A cold soup is a hit in my book especially on a warm summer night. Topped with cheese, Marcona almonds  and croutons.

The Puelbo staff were so sweet when I said it was our anniversary so they surprised us with a dessert. The flan with strawberries was the perfect finish to our tapas anniversary meal.

I highly recommend Pueblo for a date night, girls night out, or happy hour. This place was amazing and I cannot wait to return.
