Temecula Wineries

If you follow me on Snapchat and Instagram, you may remember I went on an awesome family staycation in Temecula during the holidays last year. On my to do list was to visit the Temecula wineries. My hubby and I went with my sister in law and had such a great time. I'll be featuring the two small wineries we visited below. Enjoy!

Keyways Winery:
Driving to the wineries makes you feel like you are transported to a slower and simpler time. We immediately were drawn to Keyways Vineyard & Winery as it looked like a cozy winery to check out. The building and grounds were beautiful and romantic. The indoor tasting room was cozy. We were immediately greeted and invited to do a tasting. We tried a variety of wines like their Tempranillo, Reserve Viognier, Moscato, and Riesling.

The Tempranillo was my favorite. This red wine was bold with aromas of black fruit and hints of leather and spice. It would be perfect with a steak or cheese.

Danza del Sol Winery:
If you love red wine, you will love Danza del Sol Winery. This rustic winery had many places to enjoy wine - either in the tasting room or outside patio.

We tried a variety of red wines like Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Cabernet Franc,  Madrona and Petite Sirah. The white wines like Vermentino, Chardonnay, Viognier were also exquisite.

We ended up taking home a bottle of the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. It was such a smooth bold red with vanilla and cocoa and slight oaky flavor. I can't wait to open this for a special occasion!
