Beautiful empties

I love beauty products and had to share some skincare products I just finished. If you're looking for new products to try, check out my favorites below!



Shu Uemera anti/oxi skin refining cleansing oil - I love double cleansing and fell in love with this oil since getting it in Japan. It's veru gentle and  I love that it has green tea in it.


Pixi Glow Tonic - I was introduced to this by a beauty blog. I have combination dry skin and love that this gentle toner keeps the dry skin away.


Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil - I love oils and this is my favorite for my combination dry skin. I use it at night and it keeps my face moisturized and fresh when I wake up.


Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion - I received this sample from my girlfriend. I love this moisturizer. It's gentle and a little goes a long way.


Mbeze Orange Silk Natural Lip Balm - This has to be my favorite lip balm ever. It smells like oranges and it doesn't dry out your lips like other lip balms since it's all natural. I received this as a gift from ROOTS beauty in downtown Laguna Beach. Check out that cute beauty boutique for great organic cosmetics and skin care products!

Happy birthday to me! Before heading to dinner tonight, I celebrated by getting a free ice cream cone at Baskin Robbins since I'm part of their birthday club . The winter white chocolate was delish. You can't beat white chocolate, chocolate covered cherries, and cherry syrup. It's like a lighter version of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Yum!

Fire Safety Tips

It’s been about a month since my family and I survived a house fire. It's been a roller coaster of ups and downs. I feel optimistic and very thankful to survive and recover from my injuries. We have been blessed by family, friends, colleagues, and the community for the generosity and support we have received. Our firefighters told me most fires occur in the kitchen or bedroom, either started by electrical or candle. Racist Episodes

Upon reflecting on racism in my life, a few key episodes stick out in my mind. Denmark - My first encounter with racists was in high school when I stayed with a home stay family. They made me feel unwelcome for being an Asian American and kept saying they wish they got an American student, but in my mind I was an American study. They kept inquiring where was I from & I said I’m from California. I complained to the group chaperone and was quickly switched to a more welcoming home stay family and able to have a better experience. Denver - I was on a date with my boyfriend/now husband waiting for our table at a restaurant. I noticed subtle racist Behavior when a white couple who came in after us was seated first. I brought it up to my boyfriend and he says don’t worry about it and we’ll get seated first. This restaurant is first come, first serve.
