Bluegold / LSXO
Bluegold's name is inspired by the point where sunset hits the ocean on the horizon and is based on farm to table concept. The New American menu is rooted in European/Mediterranean roots with hot and cold seafood. (Loved the oyster shooters , by the way!) LSXO's menu is inspired by Southern Vietnam and Chinese influences. Their lunch and menu feature Foie Gras and Pho Spiced Pxtail torchon to Roasted Squab Salad.
The interior decor is stunning with a dining room overlooking Huntington Beach from the second floor of Pacific City. You can dine at the dining room, lively bar, or kitchen to view all the action from the kitchen. I loved the ironwork featured throughout the restaurant.
What's neat is there is no signage for LSXO but seen through an entrance tucked inside Bluegold. Bluegold is light and airy while SXO is dark and edgier . Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen though the menus are vastly different.
Definitely check out this new restaurant!
